I’m not your PhD. I’m your programming translator — and I have opinions.
Get the key takeaways, tested methods, and up to date application that help you write better programs (and explain why they work), every month.

Where strength & science meet simplicity & fun

What is it?

☕️ Think post lift coffee date vibes.

Look, I’m not your PhD (thought I hired one). #respect

I’m merely a C.S.C.S. with 15+ years field experience, who loves reading research and better yet, applying it.
Call me your programming translator — the one who reads the studies, dissects the issues, and then provides you with WTF that means (if anything) for your programming.

The Strength Confidential is a monthly report that combines PhD & Physiologist Sourced research, rationale, and real-world application for coaches and lifters who want to get stronger — and smarter — while idk, actually enjoying it.

But that’s not all - Lest we not forget this is a, “confidential”

You’ll also be getting my opinions and reactions to current events in the field, and personal insights (maybe it’s my own training, maybe it’s my fav leggings or equipment that month).

Let me break it down

in each monthly issue you'll get:

(Literally, the best nine whole dollars you'll spend for your coaching practice).

Because frankly,

You don't need a research dump.

You need context — the bridge between evidence and execution (👋 hi, it me).

Because fankly,

You don't need a research dump.

You need context — the bridge between evidence and execution (👋 hi, it me).

The science behind strength & hypertrophy might start in PubMed (🙏and we’re grateful it does) — but it lives in the gym, in your programs, and in your real-life training logs.

I hope to bring those two worlds together for you.

If you’ve ever thought:

💭“I wish someone would just tell me what’s actually useful from the current research.”

💭“I want to claim “evidence-based,” but I don’t actually have the data to back that.”

Or....you'd just find it really convenient to have someone else keep you up to date on the latest research, using normal human words.

Then you belong in the Strength Confidential.

Who is ze confidential for?

❌ This is not your, "plug and chug, just tell me what to do," subscription.

✅ It’s for the professionals and the lifelong lifters who:

The Strength Confidential

The Strength Confidential

The heart and main purpose of The Strength Confidential. Your monthly PhD & Physiologist sourced literature breakdown — what’s new in research, what’s relevant, and what’s nonsense. I read the studies, filter the fluff, and hand you the takeaways worth applying.

Where programming theory meets the gym floor — with a focus on method and structure in programming. Case studies, experiments, and a template or clear implementation.

My prediction and caution in applying research to real life and potential mistakes I see coaches making in their quest to be "evidence based." If a study has mistakes, or weakness you'll know about it.

Biomechanics meets real life. Each month we dissect an exercise, pairing, or variation — exploring levers, intent, and tension so your programming actually delivers.

Opinionated. Honest. Backed by experience. My take on trending methods, programs and talk in the space. Your "what are your thoughts on ____?" section.

Why it works

I’m just a girl trying to help you write better programs.

PhD & Expert sourced research

Bringing you the highest quality research. And then explaining how it transitions into real world application for coaches.

Practical Program Frameworks

The entire point of this report is to give you an understanding of the research so you can TAKE ACTION.

Personal Perspective

From 15+ years in the trenches. I bring you opinions and positions from in person training to online coaching, from injury rehab to training as a mom and biz owner.

Designed for a Variety of Professionals

Whether you're new or experienced, a running coach looking to add strength work, a physiotherapist, these principles are for you if you want to stay up to date.

No buzzwords in the absence of context. No academic gatekeeping.
Just educated gains with a side of FUN - Heaven forbid.

→ The brain behind The Strength Confidential

Hey, I'm Annie Miller

B.S. Exercise and Sport Science, C.S.C.S.

I’ve spent 15+ years as my own guinea pig — testing max strength, hypertrophy, and rehab methods (and recovering from two C-sections just 13 months apart). I’ve coached collegiate athletes, in-person clients, and everyday lifters — all with one goal: build programs that actually work long-term.

I love research — but only if we can use it in the gym.

Most coaches don’t have time (or desire) to spend their evenings deciphering studies and filtering out fluff. That’s where I come in.

Let’s be so clear – I’m not your PhD (that’s Tayla & Lara).

Think of me as your programming translator — the one who bridges the gap between what the research says and what your clients (or self) actually need.

The Strength Confidential is where I hand that translation to you — credible, practical, and most definitely opinionated.

Because the truth is, strength science might start in PubMed… but it lives in the gym.

& now meet

The Experts sourcing your monthly report - we praise them

What coaches are saying

"This masterclass was SO informational! It also made me excited again! Your energy is contagious! It made programming feel a lot less tedious & actually sound exciting again. I love the idea of repeatable!! "

Nicole

Personal Trainer

“I started using what I learned instantly. I had an onboarding call with a client that evening and the next day and used information from the webinar in both calls.”

Anonymous

“Annie comes to the table with a wealth of knowledge and authority on the subject matter of exercise prescription and programming. She knows her sh*t and is excited to share her knowledge base. You won’t regret spending time learning from her.”

Kira

Physiotherapist

“This class beyond exceeded my expectations. It made me look at programming from a different perspective and stop writing only 3 month programs. Beyond that it taught me how to flow each phase into the next. It took away a lot of my frustration when it came to programming for clients.”

Anonymous

Strength Coach

“Annie laid out the potential I had to drastically improve the quality of my programming all while simplifying my process. The concepts she teaches aren’t just another textbook with no application. She lays out in bits sized pieces how to take the 20 textbooks and courses you have taken can actually be applied.”

Anonymous

Online Trainer

“This masterclass was full of practical information. No fluff!”

The Strength Confidential was built for coaches who enjoy learning and frankly, give a shit.

To program (and train) with more intention, and understand why the science works — without getting lost in PubMed.

Educated gains. But make it fun.

Got questions?

fair play - We've got answers

Yes, but not exclusively. It’s written with coaches in mind but completely applicable for dedicated lifters who love understanding why their training works — and how to make it better. Nerds of the gym, unite.

Nope. That’s the point. I read the studies so you don’t have to.
You’ll get the why and the how — with just enough of the jargon. The report is written for experienced lifters and coaches who want evidence-based reasoning that’s clear, concise, and ready to use.

That’s the goal. Every issue includes principles, frameworks, and examples you can plug directly into your own or your clients’ training plans.

Then you cancel — no hard feelings. You can end your membership anytime with a click. Or, stick around for the next issue (because...$9).

Absolutely. The Strength Confidential doesn’t replace a program — it may enhance it however. Use the research takeaways, programming frameworks, and movement insights to refine your current approach or improve how you coach your clients.

Negatory - Because the content is undetermined and in real time The Strength Confidential cannot be approved for CEU's - though make no mistake it is absolutely the cheapest, highest quality continuing education on the market.

Each month you’ll get The Strength Confidential Report delivered straight to your inbox — a mix of research translation, programming frameworks, opinions on the latest news, and real-world application. You’ll also get a download if applicable to that issue, and access to all past issues inside your member archive.
